Your First Visit

Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, and high-quality dental care. We understand that you or your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while we provide the best possible care.

Your first visit is all about you: your comfort, your happiness, and your health

During your first visit, we will review your dental and medical history forms and take a full mouth series of X-rays and photographs. Dr. Tosto will complete a comprehensive examination, review your X-rays with you, discuss any necessary treatment and answer any questions you may have. 

If time allows, our hygienist will take measurements to determine your gum and bone health and complete a thorough cleaning.  This may also be done at a subsequent visit, depending on the current health of your mouth, the type of cleaning necessary and/or if time does not allow at the first visit.

 

Bring your smile, but also remember to bring these to your first appointment

• Your completed patient information forms
• Insurance card
• Photo ID

Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile!

The American Dental Association recommends a visit to your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

We understand you have a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing to visit our office, please understand that your new patient appointment can last between 1-2 hours, as there is a lot to cover since it's our first time meeting you!  Regular six month checkups generally take about an hour.
